In a not entirely unexpected turn of events, I will be returning to Ghana for a third time. By now Tamale feels as much like ‘home’ to me as London, and I am looking forward to rejoining all of my Ghanaian (and ex-pat) friends!
Tzedek’s Mapping and Scoping Study has been moving slowly but steadily, and this trip, I have the exciting task of searching for a local-Ghanaian NGO which will be willing to partner with Tzedek in order to make Education Quality Improvement interventions in the Northern Region.
The premise of the project is exciting; essentially Tzedek is hoping to identify an organization which is capable of testing hypotheses about education quality improvement. This organization will form a strategic partnership with Tzedek and will design an intervention to test their theory. This intervention will be initiated as a ‘pilot programme’ which Tzedek will fund. Then, pending successful outcomes and realizable long-term impacts, Tzedek and the Partner NGO will attempt to scale the pilot with additional help from other organizations.
Yes, you truly are a VIP, especially in Tamale. Thank you so much for your help during our week’s stay and your bottomless source of knowledge on literally everything under the sun!! We had a great time and I personally hope and pray to return one day… Tess
